I love this idea of Pascal Rekoert's  to bring dance to more people by choreographing and presenting dance  podcasts. How cool is that? Dance anywhere, anytime, on the go.

At first Pascal created short dance podcasts to attract audiences to his performance work. (He is a performer  and the Artistic Director of  Flexicurve.) This got such a good reaction , he decided to invite other artists into the casts ,claiming he didn't want people to get tired of his face.  Soon the festival idea was born- Flexicurve Dance &Playtime.

Now there are 47 Performers in 36 dances for you and your friends all over the world to watch on your computer,phone or ipod.

The Online Festival kicks Off on Sunday March 22nd, 2009 with a 4pm screening during a "real-live"  performance event entitled SET OF THREE- A set of 3 events at 3 different times with 3 choreographers of 3 different generations. 

 

                    3pm- Interactive Dance Workshop for older adults led by Naomi Goldberg Haas ( FREE)
                    4pm- Screening of Flexicurve's compelling and zany short dance films (FREE)
                    7pm- Performance by Carol Nolte/Dance Collective, Naomi Goldberg Hass/Dances for a Variable 
                              Population, and Pascal Rekoert/Flexicurve- Tickets 15.00 and 10.00 for students/seniors
