How are your classes going Ana Maria?
When is your Latin Dance Theater Company having a show? Do you travel to NYC ever?
Let us know what your performance schedule is like, and who you work with. Have you been doing this all your life? What is so contagious about Salsa? Who is your favorite salsa musician? I personally love Celia Cruz...Of course , she didn't only sing Salsa...but she was fantastico. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for all of the questions - and sorry it has taken me a little while to get back to you! We just moved into a new office space - very exciting - in downtown LA - and just had a performance at the ALEX THEATER in Glendale (out here) that sold out! We ARE coming to New York very soon! Next August (2008) as a matter of fact! We have been invited to perform in several parks as part of the NYC Parks Foundation Summer Program (August 9/10) and will be doing several afternoon performances and company MASTER CLASSES at St. Marks Church - the following weekend 16/17th of August. I am also talking to several venues in D.C., Phillie and New Jersey about sharing our work there in August as well and would LOVE to speak to anyone in the N.E. usa who is interested in having the co. out and perform in your neck of the woods. We are really a unique company - we blend Salsa, elements of Afro-Cuban and hip hop with abstract dance theater to create highly physical and cleverly political work that MOVES audiences of all sorts! I LOVE Ruben Blades - bc he isn't afraid to say what he thinks and step outside of the traditional Salsero stereotype to be current and relevant. I ofcouse love Celia as well for her talent and her incredible charisma :) -

When you come to NYC, would you consider being interviewed by The Dance Enthusiast?
I wonder what it would be like to give an online salsa class...? or at least teach some steps...
I adore the music, but am clueless about salsa dancing...too much time with modern dance and ballet.
I would like to branch out.

I would LOVE to do be interviewed by Dance Enthusist - and am happy to break down a couple of steps online - although it is a very physical form - as most partner forms are - and you can 'understand' it in theory -but until you have danced with another human being - you don't quite know what it is all about! :) look forward to connecting this summer! Please let me know when you might want to do an interview. AA
