The Dance + Social Justice Conference: Resilience
What if, through dance, you could change the world? Join us on Saturday, December 9 in New York City and do just that.

The Dance + Social Justice Conference is a movement to explore and celebrate the interconnectedness of the body, creativity, human rights, and social justice.

Experience the methodologies behind movement-based social change happening around the world, engage with experts in the field, connect with your body, and join a growing group of dancers and activists dedicated to making radical impacts across the globe.

Some of the topics we will cover are >> the psychology of creativity // disability and activism in dance // dance as a mode of peacebuilding after conflict and genocide // trauma healing through movement // and movement-based advocacy against gender-based violence. The theme tying this work together is resilience: the remarkable capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.

The conference takes place in two parts at two beautiful locations. Please note the times:

MOVEMENT WORKSHOPS: 1-5pm @ Gibney Dance, 280 Broadway

SPEAKER SERIES: 7-9:30pm @ Foley Gallery, 59 Orchard Street

Purchase your tickets, and join us for both parts of the day, or just one.
