The Healy has just docked in Dutch Harbor, Alaska concluding a 43-day science mission in the Arctic. During the expedition, I got to dance on sea ice on 12 occasions! The experience was more than I could possibly have imagined. On June 30 , I'll be giving a presentation about the trip which will include footage of my sea ice dancing. In this presentation, Jody Sperling shares her experience as the first-ever choreographer-in-residence aboard the US Coast Guard Cutter Healy. Event includes screening of Arctic sea ice dancing and discussion on climate science and education with guest speaker Dr. Stephanie Pfirman of Columbia's Earth Institute.
