StylePointe 2017 - Fashion and Dance Show
Dixon Place is proud to present StylePointe, a unique project exploring relationship between Fashion and Dance. It is a platform for Fashion Designers to showcase their work in collaboration with Dance choreographers at Dixon Place during fall NY Fashion Week (NYFW) on September 14th, Thursday, starting at 7:30 p.m. This hybrid performance will have a ramp to cat-walk and a floor to dance. Dixon Place lounge opens at 6:15 p.m. for a special Cocktail Hour. The duration of the show is 60 minutes. Our VIP patrons will have exclusive seating and receive special gifts from our product sponsors.
The Concept: Producer Sangeeta Yesley asked fashion designers, with complete collections, to submit work samples. Five wonderful collections were chosen from designers of diverse backgrounds. These designer apparels were then introduced to 5 established dance choreographers and they will create 5 different dance vignettes to showcase the fashion collections.
We’re very excited to bring together two of New York’s vibrant institutions: Fashion and Dance.
Enjoy the Promo from last year's performance :-)
