Fridays at Noon: Lane Gifford, Sidra Bell, and Nelly Van Bommel

Three choreographers create Crossings and Collaborations, a suite of three dances performed to live music. Sidra Bell starts off with SHRINES (bodies), set to an original jazz piece by Dennis Bell. Gifford’s Gathering, for six dancers, is accompanied by Cherven Traktor’s Bulgarian and Macedonian folk music, while Van Bommel’s YACHAD (together) is set to Middle Eastern jazz by Trio Shalva. Come see how these cross-cultural works meet, agree and disagree.
