Creating and Refining " A Rugged Flourish" Alston's new ballet premiering May 13th and 14th in NYC.

The Dance Enthusiast:Barefootnotes

I spent a cold rainy morning, warm and rapt, inside The New York Theatre Ballet rehearsal studio. I was watching the choreographer Richard Alston at work. I would like to thank Mr. Alston and the company for extending the rehearsal invitation to The Dance Enthusiast --for allowing me to film and my dance photographer colleague, Julieta Cervantes, to take photos.

I hope you enjoy these short clips taken during rehearsal. The longest video( just under 3 minutes is at the top) and the other two are part of our Dance Enthusiast Dance Minute Series so they are short-- made specifically for the fast paced dance people who play on facebook and twitter. Best dance enthusiastic wishes, Christine
