mambo Tse (mambo)
Been dancing forever. African dance is my passion but choreograph hip-hop, modern, spirituals, reaggaeton, salsa, etc. Originally from Cameroon, grew-up in TX and now reside in NYC. I came here to be a journalist/writer but I had been bitten by the dancing bug for a long time. I went into advertising but always made more money dancing so I took sometime off and got in shape. Three weeks later I was on a stage and getting paid. My Favorite Dance Companies Are: Siren - Protectors of the Rainforest My Occupation: Dancer/Dance Teacher The last dance performance I loved was: My performance at the Apollo with Mama G but the best of all is still Nuit D'Afrique in Montreal, Canada. I never ever, saw a crowd enjoy a show like that one. They came out by the thousands. My other interests include: Teaching dance as well as writing poetry, although I have not written for a while and choreographing for videos. I love that. I am a dance enthusiast because: I watch, eat, sleep, breathe and live dance If I could have dinner with any choreographer / dancer, it would be: Well I would love to have a private one on one with Barishnikov again. I felt like our earlier meeting was not proper. Too brief and too crowded I am inspired by: the resilience of refugees My Website: |
