The last dance performance I loved was:

Night of Andalucia: Mujeres (part of flamenco festival 08), City Center Feb. 14, 2008
This performance was much more than I expected. When I think of flamenco, I think of soulful & pasionate dancing, intense rythms, and cante jondo. While all of this was present, I did not expect to see such an elegant display of choreographic structure. Each piece had a strong theme of it's own while contributing to the overall progression of the evening. I am looking forward to next year's festival.

Merce Cunningham. He's lived a fascinating life and has seen vast changes in the dance world. It would be amazing just to hear some of his stories.

I am inspired by:

Artists of all varieties... strangely more than their work. There's something about the cycle of creation, expression and recognition that intrigues me. I am most inspired by people who don't have an answer to the question 'Why do you _____?' because they are so deeply involved in the creative process that they don't have to quesiton why they do it. It just happens.
