The Center Community Manager (CCM) works to advance Gibney and the Center Intern/Department Fellow/Department Honor program as part of a coordinated team. The CCM reports jointly to the Director of Operations and the Senior Director of Community Action, Training, and Artistic Services. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, includes benefits. 

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

A key responsibility of the CCM is to manage the Center Internship Program. The CCM takes a proactive part in scheduling, training, and completing monthly administrative duties required of the CI/DF/DH program. The CCM actively aims to further shape and develop the program, selecting high-potential, diverse, and capable candidates to contribute to the Gibney community.

COORDINATION OF THE CENTER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

-Proactively recruit candidates to participate in the Center Internship Program through existing contacts, external postin and advertisement, and relationships with current program participants.
-Review applications and conduct phone and in-person interviews with potential intern candidates
-Lead all onboarding processes, including training, for new interns
-Cultivate development, mentorship, and networking opportunities within Gibney for Center Interns through the Department Fellowship and Honorship programs
-Serve as a mentor to the Center Interns, Department Fellows, Department Honors, and Academic Interns throughout the program and pave the way for their success in the program and beyond

ADMINISTRATION

-Manage the schedule for the Welcome Desk at Gibney
-Create opportunities for intern events, staff workshops, and field trips
-Seek out opportunities for professional development outside of Gibney to create a well-rounded program
-Track and submit payroll information for the Center Internship Program to the Finance Department

MANAGEMENT

-Lead weekly meetings with all Center Community Assistants/Associates in partnership with the Director of Operations
-Facilitate check-ins and evaluations with Center Community Assistants/Associates regarding administrative work and individual progress in collaboration with the Director of Operations
-Act as a liaison between Gibney staff and the CCA’s for process improvement and organizational policy adherence
-Delegate tasks to the CCA’s to hone their administrative skills and provide opportunities for growth and increased responsibility within their positions

QUALIFICATIONS
-Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field
-Two or more years of management experience in a professional setting, preferably within non-profit arts organizations
-Proven leadership skills and experience in the management of staff development, skills development, and professional development
-Knowledge of, and strong interest in, the performing arts, social justice, and Gibney’s mission
-Superior verbal and written communications skills
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to work independently within a team environment
-Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases (Salesforce/PatronManager preferred)
