This Tuesday April 1, join us for this month's Studies Project: The Conditions of Making Work Now.
In an environment where resources and opportunities to show fully produced work are limited, many artists are adapting to alternative formats for the creation and presentation of their work. How do these often short-form, multidisciplinary, low tech and/or multiple iteration structures affect both how artists make work and how that work is received? This roundtable discussion will explore how the adaptation of alternative formats for the creation and presentation of dance complicates our concepts of authorship, production, reproducibility and artistic longevity. Panelists include Yve Laris Cohen, Walter Dundervill and Larissa Velez-Jackson.
