Driven by pumping bass, glitter and dance theory in near-equal parts, this 90-minute, energy-busting experience is unlike any other show in the world. Part dance, part video installation, part DJ set and part concert, ONTHEFLOOR is much more than a performance. The Huffington Post aptly dubs it “a crazy, communal, underground, energetic, messy, drunken, carnivalesque, silly, social, artistic, glittery, participatory, emotional, vibrant, bass pumping, choreographic EVENT.”

The Dance Cartel will be presenting a CLASSIC edition of ONTHEFLOOR at Ace Hotel NY - Liberty Hall, featuring old school favorites from the past few years. Special guests and DJ to be announced.

Over the past few years, The Dance Cartel has fine-tuned their all-inclusive ‘shake-it-like-you’ve-got-it’ philosophy and high-octane choreography with their past shows at Ace Hotel NY and Le Poisson Rouge in New York as well as their touring performances around the country. As the audiences have grown, they’ve appeared on TV at The Late Late Show and Conan, in music videos for Yoko Ono and Reggie Watts, W Mag's New York Fashion Week party, and more.

The Dance Cartel was founded by native New Yorker Ani Taj, a choreographer, performer and music-head. Ani has choreographed contemporary musicals, plays, concerts, music videos, art parties, flash mobs and more. She is fueled by research trips to Brazil and loves to make dances inspired by Carnaval.
