Ceremony of Carols and other works
Mary Anthony Dance Theatre
Mary Anthony, who celebrated her 96th birthday November 11, presents her company in a program of works by Anthony, Daniel Maloney, Ellen Robbins, and Rachel Cohen. Highlighting the program will be Ms. Anthony's holiday "Ceremony of Carols," premiered in 1971 and set to music by Benjamin Britten. Also on the program is a trio by Daniel Maloney, to be danced by three women from Philadelphia's Dancefusion, directed by Gwendolyn Bye; dances by the students of Ellen Robbins; and the solo "I Would" by Rachel Cohen. Saturday December 15 at 8 PM; Sunday December 16 at 3 PM at the Mary Anthony Studio, 736 Broadway (just below 8th Street).
