2008/09 Season’s Final Program
New York-The final performance in the 11th season of New York Theatre Ballet’s Dance On A Shoestring Series takes place on Friday and Saturday, April 3 & 4, 2009 at 7PM at The Dance Gallery, 30 East 31st Street, 5th Floor, NYC.
The program features a revival of Matthew Neenan’s Game Two choreographed for New York Theatre Ballet in April 2008. Mr. Neenan is co-founder of Ballet X, the resident company of Philadelphia’s Wilma Theatre. His choreography has been featured by the Pennsylvania Ballet, Opera Company of Philadelphia, LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts, The Juilliard School and the Washington Ballet. Mr. Neenan was a participant in the Fall 2003 New York City Ballet Choreographic Institute.
Also featured on the program is Antony Tudor’s touching pas de deux Little Improvisations choreographed in 1953.
The intimate Dance Gallery offers a unique performance experience where the audience not only sees the dance performance but also experiences the behind the scenes elements of an informal theatrical experience.
