New Generation Dance Company, directed by Dardo Galletto and Karina Romero, will transport viewers to the colorful barrios of Buenos Aires when they present "La Tangueria: Arte del Tango," a program of traditional tango and original choreography by Galletto, Saturday August 10 at 9 PM. Joining the 15-member company are tango masters Gabriel Misse and Analia Centurion, in New York from Buenos Aires to teach seminars and classes and to perform at the Galletto school in three Milongas and with the New Generation Dance Company.
New Generation's 15 dancers include Leonides Arpon, Ritsuko Arpon, Melina Dimitriou, Cassidy Flanagan, Dardo Galletto, Belinda Lee, Kate Neils, Yuji Ono, Carolina Otera, Allen Ramirez, Karina Romero, and Barbara Saraintaris.
The Studio offers a Tango feast on August 10th, including the performance, a class, and a Milonga:
8:15 to 9 PM: Tango Class
9 to 10 PM: New Generation Dance Company in "La Tangueria: Arte del Tango" performance
10 PM to 1 AM: Milonga (tango party - bring your dancing shoes).
