Alessandra Belloni and I Giullari di Piazza pressent "Tarantata," a fiery journey through the South of Italy and Brazil, performing songs, dances, rhythms, and and exorcism tarantella. The action follows a 'tarantata," a woman who has been bitten by the tarantula, as Dionysus takes her to the shaman for a cure. Dancers include Peter De Geronimo, Francesca Silvano, Lindsay Poulis, Jillian Alighieri, and stilt dancer Mark Mindek. Friday, October 18, 8 PM, at St. John the Divine, 112th St. & Amsterdam Avenue.
