Published on October 11, 2019

Attend The Info Session On October 16, 2019 At 6:30pm

Are you looking for free rehearsal and performance space in New York City? NYC independent choreographers and dance companies working in a variety of styles, from contemporary to classical forms, are invited to apply for residencies via the CUNY Dance Initiative (CDI). If selected, artists will have the opportunity to rehearse, teach and perform on one of 13 CUNY campuses across the boroughs between July 2020 - June 2021.

Applications for 2020-21 residencies will be accepted via the CUNY Dance Initiative website from October 3 - November 4, 2019.

Individual choreographers and companies planning to apply for a CDI residency are strongly encouraged to attend this information session with the program director. We will review the application guidelines and process, and answer your questions about the program.

Please review these guidelines to learn more about the program and the facilities available at each college.

Independent choreographers and professional companies based in NYC and representing a variety of dance styles, from contemporary to classical, to culturally specific forms, are encouraged to apply.
