Not much can outshine the glittering Beaux Arts chandeliers of Grand Central Terminal, but few dance companies dazzle quite like the Rockettes. Exhilarant commuters passing through Vanderbilt Hall on Wednesday, February 5th witnessed the Rockettes in action as they staged a sneak preview of their brand new production Heart and Lights.

Written by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Doug Wright, Heart and Lights is seen through the eyes of two cousins who discover their grandmother’s past by uncovering the secrets of her beloved New York City. Grand Central Terminal is just one of many New York City landmarks that serves as a backdrop in the production.

Running 90-minutes, Hearts and Lights will feature eight production numbers with new choreography, dazzling costumes, and state-of-the-art technology. Each dancer’s electrifying suit jacket is powered by 152 LED lights!
