SUKHISHVILI, one of the most acclaimed dance companies in the world, returns to New York’s LINCOLN CENTER, DAVID GEFFEN OCTOBER 22, 5:30PM by popular demand. The company has performed for fifty million people on five continents in one hundred countries. It is one of the most celebrated companies in the world. The company has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, Avery Fisher Hall, Madison Square Garden Albert Hall, the Rome Coliseum and La Scala where it received a record-setting number of curtain calls. Sukhishvili was honored with a Gold Medal from Queen Elizabeth, and received “Best Show of the Year Award” for its limited Broadway run. The New York Times called them “Downright terrific”; the Washington Post exclaimed they are “First, Foremost, and Magnificent."

It was a headline attraction with New York City Ballet for the George Balanchine Centennial. Fifty extraordinary dancers and musicians perform unique elements from twenty-two regions of Georgia, all individual in character, choreography, and costume, accompanied by traditional music. The company astounds its audiences with its daring athleticism, unique choreography, elegant grace and superb authority of movement. They have received universal praise from leading critics around the globe.
