ABOUT THE CHOREOGRAPHERS:

GERMAINE SALSBERG, a native of Toronto, danced with Toronto Dance Theatre for seven years before adding tap to her repertory.  She worked with Tony Award winner Danny Daniels for Broadway and National tours of "Tap Dance Kid", privately coaching many actors, including Liza Minnelli, for the movie "Steppin Out," and has choreographed productions of "42nd Street," "Anything Goes," "George M!," "Crazy for You," and "Dames at Sea."  Her own company, Les Femmes, has performed at Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, BCBC, Boston Tap Festival, and the 92nd Street Y, where they presented their irresistible "amuse-bouche" entitled "Tea and Tapathy."   Germaine has guest taught nationally and internationally, and is currently on the faculty of Broadway Dance Center since 1984.

ARTIS SMITH, trained at the National Ballet School of Canada, was a founding member of the Toronto Dance Theatre in 1968, touring throughout the U.S., Canada, and internationally with the group.   Smith later danced with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Pearl Lang, London Contemporary Dance Company, Peter Sparling, Anthony Morgan, and many other independent choreographers.   With his wife, Germaine Salsberg, a fellow dancer with Toronto Dance Theatre, he formed A&G Dance, creating some fifty works for that company, as well as commissions for various other groups and solo artists.   Artis taught at the Ailey School from 1976-81, and is currently Assistant Professor of Dance at Brooklyn College since 1985.

KEVIN PREDMORE has appeared as a principal dancer with the Martha Graham Dance Company, Buglisi Dance Theatre, Pearl Lang Dance Theater, and other contemporary dance companies.   As a choreographer his work was presented as part of the Martha Graham Choreographer's Project, and has been commissioned by the Singapore Dance Ensemble to teach, choreograph and perform.   Kevin is on the faculties of the Graham School and the Ailey School.

NICOLE OHR is a NYC-based tap dancer/choreographer who has performed with Max Pollak, Germain Salsberg, Boston Tap Company, Mazel Toes Tap Company, and Salsberg's Les Femmes Plus.   Nicole is also artistic director of Cole Collective, a tap company whose mission is to find how music impacts both sound and movement.  The Company has performed throughout the tri-state area.

TRACIE STANFIELD is director of the contemporary dance company SynthesisDance.  Winner of The Spirit of Elan Award, the NY-based Company has performed at Bryant Park, Symphony Space, the Duke Theater, BAM Fisher and other major venues.
