Performing with “vibrant energy, brilliant coherence and an effortless visual elegance” (The Daily Telegraph), Scottish Ballet, the country’s national dance company, makes its Joyce debut with three New York premieres. The roster includes Christopher Bruce’s Ten Poems, which focuses on the theme of nostalgia in a piece set to a rhythmic and emotional reading of Dylan Thomas’ poems. Also on the program is Artistic Director Christopher Hampson’s Sinfonietta Giocosa, heralded by The New York Times for ushering in “a masterly new choreographic voice,” and Bryan Arias’ Motion of Displacement, inspired by the choreographer’s childhood memories of his mother’s journey from her native land in pursuit of love.

Curtain Chat: Wed, Apr 12
