Renowned puppet and mask maker Ralph Lee presents his Mettawee River Theatre Company in the NY premiere of "The Old Boat Goddess - Songs of the Ainu," based on three lively and engaging traditional tales from the Ainu, the indigenous people of northern Japan.  A range of Lee's masks, puppets and giant figures populate these tales of interactions between humans, gods and the natural world.   2 weekends - September 9-11 and 16-18, 7:30 PM, in the Outdoor Garden of the Cathedral of St., John the Divine, Amsterdam Avenue & 111th Street (not inside the cathedral)
