VALLETO presents an evening celebrating women on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 7:30pm at CPR-Center for Performance Research, 361 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn. Doors open at 7pm with an exhibition before the performance. Tickets are $18 in advance ($15 for students in advance, $20 at the door cash only), and are available at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3448149.

VALLETO celebrates its fifth season with an evening of celebrating and empowering women. Dive into their authentic and intimate process for the company's latest work SOS. In an uncharted, otherworldly space, SOS explores the nature of the soul in chaos with now unrecognizable memories.

"Our mission is to empower women and unify diverse artists. Gender inequality, objectification of the female body and sexual taboos are concepts that still concern to women nowadays," said Valeria Y. Gonzalez, artistic director of VALLETO. "The right of freedom of expression, women empowerment, and feminism are still a goal to reach by many women and men. And it is relevant to today's concerns. As a company, our goal is to make a difference in the world of dance through empowering women. In this evening, we aim to invite the audience to see our process and experience the universal love that unifies us all."

Dancers: Danielle Alvarez, Abby Dick, Gianna DiGirolamo, Selina Shida Hack, Dasol Kim, Ayaha Otsuka, Kat Rodriguez, Devon Travis
Composer: Madeleine Cocolas
Costume Designer/Creative Assistant: Cassie Mills
