Marquee TV, the world’s leading performing arts streaming service offering opera, dance, theatre, and music on demand, is excited to announce the Access Digital program. Known as the established leader in performing arts streaming with a wide variety of partners, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, New York City Ballet, The Washington Ballet, Signature Theatre, and Houston Grand Opera, Marquee TV is using its world-class expertise to bring tailored solutions to aid arts organizations’ digital efforts with the Access Digital program.

An increasing number of arts organizations are looking to deliver online content to their audiences. With many options available, it can be difficult for organizations to understand the best options for their needs. Marquee TV's Access Digital offers a suite of digital solutions which make it easy for arts organizations to host, promote and monetize their digital content.

Instead of arts organizations having to go through the extensive process of hosting on their own without any support, Marquee TV works closely with partners to deliver a bespoke package based on their needs and objectives. Solutions include live stream, pay-per-view events, digital seasons and pre-recorded content collections that can be hosted on and off Marquee TV’s platform.

“Opening Access Digital widely to arts organizations is part of our pledge to support the recovery of the creative community,” said Marc Kirschner, Marquee TV co-founder and Head of Product. “We created this capability based on feedback we received from arts organizations who are looking for a more effective solution to deliver digital and hybrid seasons to their patrons while growing their audience and brand.”

Access Digital grew out of Marquee TV’s successful curated partnerships, such as New York City Ballet’s production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® , Manual Cinema’s epic 22 live-stream season of Manual Cinema’s Christmas Carol, Signature Theatre’s Signature Features, and an array of events with London Philharmonic Orchestra. Access Digital allows arts organizations to hit the ground running with their digital efforts, leveraging Marquee TV’s deep experience, existing user base, marketing, and wide-reaching platform to deliver ticket sales and global audience growth to its partners.

“Early findings from the Insights Alliance Digital Experience Survey suggest that, on average, only 19% of digital ticket buyers are new to the arts organization they are buying from. Some of our partners see more than triple that figure, even exceeding 70%. It was clear there is a need we are well-positioned to fill,” added Kirschner.

Access Digital tickets may be sold (and accessed) directly via individual arts organization websites, via third-party ticket services, on the Marquee TV website, via in-app purchase, or gift cards. Programming can also be distributed directly to partner organization subscribers. Once purchased, events can be viewed across all Marquee TV apps, including web, iOS, AppleTV, Android, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Samsung.

“At Marquee TV we understand it’s essential to give audiences a comfortable and quick buying process and viewing experience - whether it is on a partner website, through a ticketing platform, or with a click of their device remote,” Kirschner added. “Too many arts organizations are sending audiences, used to one-click Netflix and Disney+ experiences, detailed instructions on how to attach their laptop to their television via connecting cables or screen mirroring solutions. They owe their patrons better.”

Over the past 12 months, Marquee TV’s subscriber base has increased by 700%. Marquee TV apps can be found on televisions in over 50 million homes globally through their cable and satellite partnerships. Access Digital partners will be getting their content distributed to Marquee TV’s existing subscriber base which has a strong international presence with subscribers in over 100 countries.
