DANCE HIGHLIGHTS ON MARQUEE.TV THIS FALL 2018

1) A Collaboration Between Greats: Rules Of The Game

Choreographer Jonah Bokaer, architect Daniel Arsham and musician Pharrell William join forces to reimagine Pirandello’s 1918 play of the same title. Evoking both the avant garde and the absurd, Rules Of The Game is a multidisciplinary work for 8 dancers.

2) Northern Ballet’s wonderfully unsettling 1984

Winston Smith lives in a world of absolute conformity, his every action is scrutinized by Big Brother. However, when Winston meets Julia he dares to rebel by falling in love. Based on George Orwell's masterpiece and created by Guest Choreographer and former Royal Ballet dancer Jonathan Watkins, 1984 will change the way you think about ballet.

Check out this Audience Review of Northern Ballet Theatre at Edinburgh Festival in 2009! Yes, we've been publishing Audience Reviews for a decade now!

3) Batsheva Dance Company in Naharin’s Virus

Adapted from Peter Handke’s anti-play “Offending the Audience” and enriched by Ohad Naharin’s innovative, movement language Gaga, the Bessie-award winning Naharin’s Viruse xemplifies the choreographer’s aesthetic with the sole purpose of showing the reality of a moment in space.
