Analia Farfan should be called Analia Diaghileva. In the spirit of that famous impresario she assembles the most amazing performances! A brilliant performer herself, possessed of bravura technique coupled with superbly expressive physicality of face and body, she manages to find other performers of extreme talent in a variety of styles and genres.
The most recent performance, seen on August 5th, consisted of familiar and uncommon ballet excerpts, flamenco, tango (two couples!), capoeira, and song.
Ms. Farfan also is a talented choreographer, and presented new works, as well as adaptations of pieces by other choreographers.
The artistic level is of the highest standard for all of the artists who participate. There is plenty of excitement, as well as emotionslly stirring moments.
Beside dancing herself, she stages the whole program, even providing the projected images that act as scenic components.
The high standards and variety make for a most entertaining evening !
