Freeform Review:

Chris and Company at BAM Fisher brought together beautifully shot and considered pre-recorded and live visual imagery (David Fishel video and Robert Flynt still imagery, with Sven Britt doing the live capturing). All the elements of this very multi-media work supported and expanded the overall experience. Unlike many performances where there is a split in attention between the projected imagery and the live performance, these elements amplified and focused instead of distracting and fragmenting our attention.

The music suggested references that would then vanish, as did much of the imagery, leaving a lot of imaginative room. The room itself expanded through the use of the live video, as we were brought into corridors and rooms backstage, adding narrative and kinetic tension.  The dancers' performances integrated with the audio and video imagery in an unusually effective manner as the piece pulled us in.
