AUDIENCE REVIEW: Frida Kahlo. And Hopper Meets Caravaggio.

What an exhilarating evening! And…right up my alley: Frida Kahlo, Hopper, Caravaggio in Dance. Loved, loved, loved seeing my dear colleague Terese Capucilli dance this part. Exquisite! Everyone was brilliant! Thank you, Jacqulyn Buglisi for the incredible choreography!

I especially loved the Frida Kahlo piece, as it showed three emotional, inner stages of Frida's life.  Terese Capucilli, Christine Dakin, and PeiJu Chien -Pott  represented these without any Mickey-Mousing.  The dancers sometimes balanced precariously on chairs, sometimes moved angularly, sometimes smoothly. These performers literally brought me to tears.

I have seen a lot of dance in my lifetime, but this was an unforgettable highpoint!
