Choreographer, Dancer & Educator

Seeking professional dancers for an original outdoor performance. Must have strong contact/partnering skills, improvisation skills and excellent contemporary dance technique. Looking for dynamic performers comfortable in a collaborative environment with openness to work and perform outdoors.

The workshop will include improvisation work based on principles of movement analysis formulated by Rudolf Laban where we will learn to use space in a more intentional way and open new creative channels. We will use a “quick learn” composition technique designed to generate material unique to each dancer. Dancers will have an opportunity to demonstrate their talent by translating original movement into their own bodies.

Paid rehearsals in NYC beginning in June 2018 and performances in West Stockbridge, MA August 25-26, 2018. There will be a day trip to visit site in June and setting work at the site August 19-24.
