The Dance Enthusiast Seeks USA-Based Writers & Other Gifted Communicators

For 2022-23 Fall and Winter Season

Do you enjoy live performance?  Are you curious about dancers' work and lives behind the scenes ? Do you have something to say about arts and culture but no where to say it? Do you like to write, create video stories, or photo essays? Are you interested in strengthening the power of your communication, while supporting the dance community in your area.

The Dance Enthusiast, a 15-year-old independent, non-profit dance journalism site, celebrates, questions, and discusses the dance field. Join our team and be part of the conversation!

The perfect candidates for these positions are:

1. People who have the ability to communicate about dance and performing arts in an engaging, knowledgable manner
2.  People who can work remotely, and respond professionally to edits and deadlines
3.  People who can write reviews of performance, create photo or video essays, report on special dance events, conduct interviews

If interested, please send an introductory email to Christine Jowers cjchiefeditor@dance-enthusiast.com and cc Editor Samantha Sowerby sammi@dance-enthusiast.com

Tell us about yourself: your interests, dance/performance experience, writing/communication experience, and why you would like to be a correspondent with The Dance Enthusiast.  Please include the names and contact info ( phone or email) of two references.

Positions are paid with stipends for each article ranging from $75 to $85 for new writers.
