A part of an exciting new collaboration project between famed Afro Latin Artist/Choreographer Sekou McMiller and Senegalese Experimental Sabar Innovator Babacar Top, Sekou and Babacar’s unique and daring new style of Afro-Contemporary Fusions sets out to explore Afro Latin rhythms and techniques alongside Traditional West African dance and Experimental Sabar from Senegal while using the backdrop of urban, modern, jazz and contemporary styles to create new and exciting experiences and possibilities.
Designed for participants with a wide range to no dance experience, classes begin with a continuous circular flow with emphasis on alignment, rhythm, mobility, mindful body impulse and meditation.
