The Playground NYC allows dancers to experience various choreographic styles and ideas, engage with a new community of dancers, and gather resourceful information and inspiration from the array of choreographers involved. In turn, established choreographers are paid for their creative investigations, are given free space to explore new movements with professional dancers, and are provided with the opportunity to establish relationships with new dancers and fellow choreographers.

Class description:
Annie’s classwork and movement practice is sensorial, anatomic, and energetic. It hovers at the meeting point of somatics and virtuosity and aims to help dancers unlock their physical potential while giving them tools for efficiency of effort and self-treatment for injury. Class will explore the many inherent pathways of the body, the communication between parts, distribution of tone and texture, and the connection to our sensation, imagination, and sense of freedom and play.
