Bio:

Ching Ching Wong was born in Manila, Philippines, grew up in Los Angeles, and sheltering in place in her home base of Philadelphia. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine where she treasures her time learning from the late Mr. Mckayle. She spent seven seasons dancing for NW Dance Project, where she was awarded The Princess Grace Award in Dance and was nominated Top 25 to Watch by Dance Magazine. She originated work with many choreographers including The Playground’s fearless leaders and co-creators Loni Landon and Gregory Dolbashian. Since beginning her freelance career, she has traveled to a dozen countries teaching outreach in low income areas, toured with violinist Joe Kye, started her own company Carrots Carrying Water, and performed for LED, CARLON, Heidi Duckler Dance Theater, SALT Contemporary Dance, Safety Third Productions, and Brendan Duggan. Since 2017, she is also immensely honored to have become Ihsan Rustem’s assistant remounting his work throughout the US and Europe. Loni and Greg have been a great inspiration for the past decade and Ching is so grateful to have been invited to share a class for The Playground NYC.
