DAWN LILLE, trained in ballet, modern (with May O'Donnell) and labananalysis, has been a performer, teacher, rehearsal director and writer. She wrote and headed the graduate program in dance research and reconstruction at City College/CUNY and taught dance history at Juilliard for 14 years. Dr. Lille has published two books, chapters in seven others, and countless articles and reviews.

MAY O'DONNELL, originally from California, was a dancer, teacher and choreographer. She was a soloist for many years with Martha Graham (although not trained in the Graham technique) and was Louis Horst's first assistant. She had her own company in NYC. Among the many who studied and performed with her were Robert Joffrey and Dudley Williams.
