ECHOES OF ISADORA: FALL 2026
TECHNIQUE & REPERTORY WORKSHOP IN NEW YORK
1-4 PM WEEKLY: SEPTEMBER 20-NOVEMBER 22, 2026
Join us this fall for a weekly exploration of the movement, artistry, and repertory of Isadora Duncan (1877–1927). Meeting once a week for three hours, this immersive workshop will culminate in an open rehearsal where participants will share excerpts of their work and creative process.
We welcome a small group of dedicated and curious dancers interested in deepening their understanding of Duncan's expressive movement language. Each Sunday session will begin with a technique class, followed by the study of Duncan repertory taught by Artistic Director Francesca Todesco and members of Dances We Dance.
This year's workshop will also include a collaborative creative component, with part of the repertory time devoted to developing a new work inspired by Duncan's movement principles and artistic vision.
Grounded in breath, musicality, and movement initiated from the solar plexus, Duncan's technique remains remarkably relevant today. Whether you are new to her work or returning to deepen your practice, this workshop invites you to engage with authentic repertory while exploring its possibilities through a contemporary lens.
Join us for an inspiring journey into the origins—and continuing evolution—of modern dance.
Please note that space is limited for the repertory session. Sign up soon to secure your spot. Priority will be given to dancers who can commit to most sessions. Fee: $20/session
