The Isadora Duncan Foundation is delighted to announce a December Workshop at The Iowa Dance Collective in Fairfield, Iowa — featuring Dance Teacher Magazine Award Winner, Lori Belilove, Artistic Director of Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company.
This workshop places a special focus on Dance Teacher Training, offering educators and aspiring teachers a rare opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Isadora Duncan technique, pedagogy, and creative approach. Participants will gain valuable insights into how to bring Duncan’s principles to life in the classroom and studio setting.
Join us for an inspiring week of artistry, movement, and mentorship in a vibrant, art-loving community. Fairfield offers convenient accommodations — dormitory-style lodging, Airbnbs, and homestays — all within walking distance. Dancers will also enjoy exclusive local grocery discounts.
Lori Belilove and Company have previously performed at Fairfield’s Sondheim Theater, and we’re thrilled to return to this welcoming and creative community for an enriching, hands-on experience.

3:00–5:00 PM — Orientation & Seminar
Monday–Wednesday, December 15–17
11:00 AM–1:00 PM — Adult Isadora Technique
3:00–4:00 PM — Private Mentoring Sessions
4:00–5:30 PM — Youth Class + Teacher Training
6:00–7:30 PM — Teen Class + Teacher Training
7:30–8:00 PM — Class Debrief
Throughout the week, teacher participants will engage in discussion, observation, and guided practice, exploring methods of introducing Duncan principles to students of varying ages.
