Mentorship 4 Dancers is designed for dancers (18+) to deepen into their artistry & explore creative possibilities while gaining entrepreneurial skills, real-world knowledge & building a global network to become an Empowered Movement Artist .

To have a sustainable career in today's dance world — whether as a professional dancer, choreographer, artistic director or educator – one must know themselves as an Artist and possess the creative entrepreneurial skills necessary to carve one's own path in our field. Founded & led by LA/NY-based Movement Director/Choreographer Zoe Rappaport, this program is designed to meet dancers wherever you are at in your career. Transcending commercial, concert & club dance, dancers of all styles/genres are welcome to join. In 12 weeks, Movement Artists will be guided to:

*Explore identity & artistic lineage
*Uncover one's innate style
*Understand your own creative process
*Build your portfolio & receive 1-1 feedback
*Business 101 for dancers & authentic branding
*Learn from guest mentors
*Develop your own project

Online bi-weekly sessions begin the week of September 13th from 12-2pm PST.
Dancers have a choice of taking the course on Mondays or Tuesdays.

In-person bi-weekly sessions take place in Los Angeles, CA and begin Wednesday, October 6th from 3-5pm PST. *The in-person program includes a photo/video shoot day, dance practicum, guest mentorship & solo and/or group projects. If you are a dancer not currently based in LA but interested in attending in-person, please e-mail us for housing options.

Teacher Bio: Zoe Rappaport's versatile background as a professional dancer & interdisciplinary artist has led her to work with some of the top names in live production, tv/film, music videos, commercial and content creation over the last 15+ years. Working with world-renowned choreographers & artists by the time she was 18 years old, Zoe has worked with acclaimed artists & brands including Estée Lauder, Vidal Sassoon, Grammy award-winning electronic artist ZHU, Sheila E, Katie Grand's "LOVE" Magazine x DOGPOUND LA feat. The Fat Jewish & Alexis Ren, Paz Lenchantin of The Pixies and more. Working across many related fields & platforms (stills, motion, performance/stage), Zoe has worked behind-the-scenes from fashion shows for Hermés to award shows like The Latin Grammy's to popular television shows So You Think You Can Dance and America's Got Talent. Zoe serves as the Creative Producer for Dare to Dance in Public Film Festival — a live & online film festival dedicated to the concept of democratizing dance so that it may be seen & experienced not just in studios and theaters, but in public space. Grounded in the belief that movement was born to bring people together and communicate beyond words, Zoe's work aims to broaden access to dance, lend artistic voice to social issues and engage community while elevating the field as a whole. @zoe.rapapport

“If you understand the strands of your creative DNA, you begin to see how they mutate into common threads in your work. You begin to see the ‘story’ that you’re trying to tell: why you do the things you do...where you are strong and where you are weak (which prevents a lot of false starts), and how you see the world and function in it.” — Twyla Tharp, The Creative Habit
