ANIMA

Company:
Nimbus Dance
A powerful evening of dance that confronts our most urgent and timeless connection: humankind’s relationship with the natural world. Choreographed by Samuel Pott with original scores by acclaimed Brooklyn-based composer & collaborator Qasim Naqvi, ANIMA unfolds through three visceral works: Patch of Turf, Falling Sky, and Dark Water, each probing the fragile balance between humanity and environment. The work features immersive projections by internationally renowned artists Laia Cabrera and Isabelle Duverger, and set design by Guggenheim Fellow Nicola López.
The Friday, February 6 performance at Nimbus Arts Center will also feature a Young Patrons’ Night, a post-performance networking event for Jersey City professionals ages 21+.
