Mark Morris Dance Center Hosts Community Day of Free Classes

On Sunday, November 9, from 10 a.m.–3 p.m., the Mark Morris Dance Center (3 Lafayette Avenue, Downtown Brooklyn) hosts Community Day, a free celebration of dance, music, and connection. The day includes a wide variety of 45-minute classes — from ballet, hip-hop, and Broadway jazz to West African, Afro-Caribbean, Samba/Afro-Brazilian, restorative movement, and group singing — plus the chance to learn excerpts of Mark Morris’ repertory from company members. The event closes with a joyful, all-ages dance party. Free with RSVP.
