Queers in Purgatory

Company:
Anna Paterson Dance Co.
Queers in Purgatory is an exploration of queer ritual, community, and transcendence through contemporary dance, drag, and theatrical spectacle. Inspired by Dante’s Purgatorio, the work reimagines the terraces of Purgatory as a series of queer spaces—sites of joy, longing, excess, and transformation.
Blending contemporary choreography with drag performance, satire, and club culture, the piece invites audiences into a liminal world where nightlife becomes sacred ritual. Come with us on this communal journey through desire, vulnerability, humor, and redemption.
