Moving Memory Project 2026: Next Gen

Company:
Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup
Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup presents Moving Memory Project 2026: Next Gen, a multidisciplinary festival exploring memory and forgetting through contemporary dance. Curated by choreographer Stefanie Nelson, the program features new works by Tricia Dietrick (SND commission), Zev Haworth, Miguel Miranda, Chelsea Thedinga, Tethered Residents (Taylor Graham and Jerimy Rivera), and Omnivore Dance (Maggie Xiao Liang and Yinqi Wang).
The evening brings together six distinct choreographic voices examining how memory is embodied, distorted, and shared. Works range from intimate duets to ensemble pieces, addressing themes of grief, transformation, connection, and the tension between holding on and letting go.
Launched in 2019, the Moving Memory Project connects artists, caregivers, and communities around issues of memory loss, with a focus on awareness and advocacy.
