Over 10,000 dancers will take to the streets in a dazzling display of artistic expression and cultural celebration of the 20th annual New York Dance Parade and Festival. The largest dance parade in the world, the joyous event is attended annually by over 100k New Yorkers, cheering on the performers in celebration of dance in all its genres. The event kicks off at 12 noon from 17th St. and 6th Ave, and 150 groups will then dance their way down Avenue of the Americas, enchanting the crowd with global dances and music from Africa, South America, Asia, and Europe, alongside urban styles such as Voguing, Breaking, Popping, and House. Beloved partner dances are not forgotten, with the Lindy Hop, Ballroom, Salsa, Hustle, Swing, and more. The family-friendly day comes to a grand finale with an interactive Festival in Tompkins Square Park, where stages have been set up for full performances, free dance lessons, and mingling with other dance enthusiasts. Grand Marshals for 2026 are Christine Jowers, Joan Myers Brown, DJ Timmy Regisford, and Jeff Selby.
