Seattle, Washington: CALL FOR SAVVY FEMINIST DANCE SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Company:
Pat Graney Company
Pat Graney Company is a Seattle based contemporary dance/performance company working as well with women's prisons. The current call for a social media intern would be focused on coordinating and generating material for a social media campaign for the current production of Girl Gods, premiering at On the Boards, October 1-4, 2015. The internship runs from July-November 2015, with the possibility of extension.
Girl Gods explores the ancestry of women, individuals and family—and the idea of rage. Both a visual installation and time-based performance, Girl Gods has connections to feminist artists and art practices of the 1970s, influenced by Judy Chicago's installation projects and the Earth-Body work of Ana Mendi...eta.
The social media campaign includes:
-Research on gender equity in dance/performance (US) via reports and other source material, gender equity in the arts in general (sources such as Guerrilla Girls) and other related social media news/memes connected to feminism, female rage, female/girl empowerment
-Organizing and submitting material for a regular social media feed for Pat Graney Company via #GirlGods (reviewed by supervisor)
-Generating original photoshop images with small quotes and percentages over background images, as a part of the social media campaign
