Intensive Description
Ami's Playing With Possibility Intensive will explore how the potency of the feldenkrais method enhances kinaesthetic awareness, refines articulation and reveals new options for choice making. We will take select concepts from the method, explore them from a feldenkrais perspective and translate them into a dance context.
About Ami Shulman
Ami Shulman performed with Compagnie Marie Chouinard and with Jose Navas before becoming the rehearsal director for both companies. She has worked with companies such as the Cirque Du Soleil, the GoteborgsOperans Danskompani, the National Ballet of Canada, the Shakespeare Theatre Company and Ballet BC. Ami is a highly sought after teacher and has taught for the Juilliard School, Jacob’s Pillow and the National Theatre School of Canada, amongst others. An Artistic Associate of the Springboard Project Montreal and a certified practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method, Ami is currently a member of the Dance-On ensemble in Berlin.
