Mayor Bill de Blasio's Office of Immigrant Affairs brings an IDNYC pop-up to the 14th Street Y
The 14th Street Y will host an Open House to mark the occasion on Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

NEW YORK - In August, the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs is bringing an IDNYC pop-up enrollment center to the 14th Street Y. The 14th Street Y will host an Open House to mark the launch of the pop-up enrollment site on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Meet up with your community at the newest IDNYC "Pop-Up" enrollment site at the 14th Street Y (344 E. 14th Street at 1st Ave), and enroll for your IDNYC card while meeting new people in the community and speaking with local businesses including Jolt Coffee App, and the Green Mountain Farm CSA. In addition, representatives from the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) will be on site to offer information about city services. Enjoy a free iced coffee (compliments of Jolt!), talk with our friendly staff about what our membership has to offer, get your IDNYC, and then sign up for a fitness class or a night at the theater. The 14th Street Y offers programs for all ages; from fitness classes to parenting classes, theater shows to rooftop events-there is something for everyone! Members and non-members are invited to the Open House event, and admission is free. For more information about the 14th Street Y visit www.14streety.org.

IDNYC is New York City's municipal identification card program. From August 2 through August 13 (Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), New Yorkers will be able to enroll for their IDNYC card at the 14th Street. IDNYC cardholders are eligible for special discounts and benefits, including one-year free memberships to 40 cultural institutions across the City, including Carnegie Hall, the Public Theatre, and the Museum of Chinese in America. IDNYC also offers cardholders discounts on groceries, medicine, entertainment deals, and health and fitness centers. All New York City residents, 14 years or older, are eligible for the ID, regardless of immigration status.  To make an appointment, visit www.nyc.gov/IDNYC or call 311 and say "IDNYC."

"Our pop-up enrollment centers allow New Yorkers to enroll for their IDNYC in their local neighborhoods and at community-based organizations that they know and trust," said Commissioner Nisha Agarwal of the Mayor' s Office of Immigrant Affairs. "We are proud to partner with the 14th Street Y to bring a pop up enrollment site to serve lower Manhattan families."
