Roberto Villanueva, founder/director of BalaSole Dance Company, presents Balasole's 17th NYC concert season August 13 & 14 at 8 PM at the Ailey Citigroup Theater. Diversity and individuality are the keywords of BalaSole, which has mentored and presented over 160 artists since 2010. The roster for August, chosen by audition, is: Nika Antuanette, Davonna Batt, Vanessa Calderon, Meagan Cubides, Laurie Deziel, DaJuan Harris, Alexandria Johnson, Alexis Julian, Nuria Martin Fandos, and Villanueva. Performing credits of past participants includes the Martha Graham Dance Company, Limon Dance Company, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Parsons Dance, and many others.
