Intensive Description
A daily warm-up will deliver movement material in a full range: from natural to designed, pleasing to provocative, narrative to non-narrative. Participating artists will be invited to observe the point in their process of dancing when desires, imagination, and physical idiosyncracies are conflicting with or severing off from the creative task at hand. Locating and making use of this moment is fundamental to both performing and making work: observations and discussions about the myriad ways of working will unfold. Workshop participants are free to focus on either practice or dance making.
