Abrons Arts Center's new Subsidized Space Rental Program,
funded by NYSCA, provides affordable rehearsal space to
New York-based artists working in dance and movement.
The center is pleased to announce our newest development opportunity for New
York-based dance and movement artists, generously funded through a
grant from the New York State Council on the Arts. The need for
affordable and professional spaces to make work is palpable in NYC,
and the Subsidized Space Rental Program will provide accessible
rehearsal space to the widest range of dance artists and companies
without the prohibitive costs. Subsidized theater rental rates are
strictly for rehearsals, and are not applicable to staged productions.
Studio 1: $5/hour
Studio 2: $5/hour
Studio 302: $10/hour
Nonprofit Subsidized Theater Rental Rates:
Playhouse Theater and Experimental Theater: $15/hour
Support for Abrons Arts Center’s Subsidized Rehearsal Rental Program
is provided by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support
of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
