Pentacle is excited to offer ART, a 2-year artist support program providing unparalleled bundled management assistance for Dance Artist/Companies in Booking, Fiscal Administration, Development, Marketing, and more……..
16 Artist/Companies with budgets of less than $250K will be selected to participate in the program in one of two ways:
Group 1:
Artist/Companies will receive full bundled services from the administrative resource team and will be eligible for implementation funds over a two-year period. Services included (but not limited to) are:
- assessment of current infrastructure and management
- goal setting session(s)
- one-on-one mentorship from a field professional for duration of the program
- administrative personnel to work with the artist to implement goals
- access to discretionary funds to use toward implementation of established goals
Group 2:
Artist/companies will receive a monetary award at the beginning and end of the 24 months for participation in the program. Services included (but not limited to) are:
- assessment of current infrastructure and management
- goal setting session(s)
- monetary award for project participation
Application Process: A Letter of Intent template and guidelines will be available online April 1, 2016 and will be due May 16, 2016. Items requested in the Letter of Intent will include: writing about the Artist/Company’s work; performance history; work samples and 3 years of the Artist/Company’s budget. An advisory committee will select Artist/Companies who will be invited to submit a full application. If selected, notification will be made on June 13, 2016, and the full application will be due by July 1, 2016. Notification of awardees will be late-July.
Lead funding for Pentacle's Administrative Resource Team (ART) has been provided by The Scherman Foundation's Katharine S. and Axel G. Rosin Fund. Additional support has been provided by the Mertz Gilmore Foundation, the Howard Gilman Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
