Congratulations to our Arts Jobs Training Program's first batch of Graduating Trainees!
After completing a successful first year of the Lower East Side Cultural Corridor Arts Jobs Training Program, The Clemente will be celebrating the participating organizations and graduating trainees on Wednesday August 6th. The ceremony will include remarks from Director of the LES-AJTP, Cecilie Noreng, and The Clemente's Executive Director, Jan Hanvik, as well as statements from trainee graduates, Kian Ross and Victoria Brown, and participating organization leaders, Alison Fleminger of University Settlement, Robyn Shapiro of The Lowline, Bonnie Stein of GOH Productions, and Tamara Greenfield of Fourth Arts Block. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this pilot program a success. Read up on the programs beginnings here. About:
The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) is the largest multi-arts festival in North America, with more than 200 companies from all over the world performing for 16 days in more than 20 venues across the city. The Clemente is increasing our ties to the festival this year. Not only are our spaces acting as Venues 1-4, but our parking lot has been transformed into FringeCENTRAL, the festival's main hub where guests can come pick up information and postcards for the shows, mingle with artists and volunteers, and pick up exclusive advanced tickets with no convenience charge.
